Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT)

Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) is a service designed to offer individuals an opportunity to maintain changes in their lifestyle by using opioid replacement therapy approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of opioid addiction. This treatment approach is provided in conjunction with rehabilitation and medical services, and is a tool in the detoxification and rehabilitation process of opioid-dependent individuals. At B & D Integrated Health Services, OBOT consists primarily of the prescribing of buprenorphine (e.g., Suboxone) for the treatment or maintenance of individuals suffering from opioid addiction, as well as therapeutic services like outpatient therapy (individual or group), or appropriate enhanced services.
